Vowel Movements or the Comings & Goings of My Vocables

Today my A’s
been led away.
My weeping E’s
turn’d in her keys.
Search low; search high:
I cannot spy
my I.

Insists my O,
“I gotta go.”
“As I must, too,“
includes my U.
Each goes “adios,”
as -- sometimes -- goes
my Y.

My A – hooray! –
now’s back to stay.
Re-greet my E
at early tea.
“I’ll not deny
our old school tie,“
says I.

“I’ve miss’d you so,”
remarks my O.
Appends my U,
"I miss'd you, too."
(I need ‘em nigh –
yes, even -- sometimes --
Y.)
